OMEGAS researchers collect biological, chemical, and physical ocean ecosystem data. The data management project started in early 2011.  Data collected throughout the project will be archived in standardized formats that allow analysis and integration.  Metadata describe the types of data that are collected.  We organize our data management efforts in three projects:

  • Moorings and sensors
  • Genomics, physiological, and larval rearing
  • Field transplants and growth experiments

These activities are coordinated at a number of sites in Oregon and California.

National Science Foundations's BCO-DMO

Data and metadata are archived at BCO-DMO's national database (Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office)

Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS)

Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO)

OMEGAS data will also be archived at PISCOweb data portal.  In the meantime, check out the data catalog for past years' ocean ecosystem data.
